Build Review: Powermac Hire DT70 Diesel Truck – Mine-Spec Refuelling, Built to Last

A Build That Works as Hard as Its Operator

When Powermac Hire approached Any Type Trucks for a new diesel refuelling truck, the brief was clear — build something durable, compliant, and easy to service in the field. The result is the DT70 Diesel Truck, a purpose-engineered system that reflects ATT’s deep experience in heavy-duty design and fleet integration.

Platform and Configuration

The build starts with a HINO GT single-cab 4x4 chassis, selected for its proven reliability and off-road capability in harsh mine and civil environments. From there, ATT designed and installed a 7,000-litre diesel tank paired with a 600-litre stainless-steel AdBlue/DEF tank, giving operators the range and versatility required for remote operations.

The DT70 isn’t just a refueller — it’s a fully integrated fuel management system. With a Sampi NMI-certified metering setup, it delivers precise volume accuracy that meets legal trade standards, making it compliant for both commercial hire and on-site fuelling applications.

Performance Through Proven Components

  • Ebsray V25 Rotary Vane Pump – Compact, efficient, and built for continuous duty, the V25 provides smooth fuel delivery with reduced noise and vibration, ideal for high-frequency hire operations.

  • Banlaw Overfill Protection System – A critical safety measure for Safer Together and mine-spec compliance, ensuring tanks can’t be overfilled and pressure-related incidents are prevented.

  • COX Hydraulic Retractable Hose Reels – Heavy-duty reels simplify operator control, minimise trip hazards, and extend hose life.

  • Stainless-Steel AdBlue Tank – Corrosion-resistant and easy to maintain, designed for clean DEF delivery in dust and heat.

Each component was chosen for longevity and serviceability — principles that define ATT’s engineering philosophy.

Mine Compliance and Safety Built-In

The Powermac Hire DT70 meets full Safer Together and mine-site compliance standards, integrating safety-critical systems from the ground up. Electrical circuits are fully protected and isolated; all fittings and hoses are rated for the operating environment; and access points are designed for safe servicing without compromising performance.

The build demonstrates ATT’s approach to compliance: it’s not a checklist — it’s part of the design DNA. Every mounting bracket, wiring route, and isolation point reflects risk-based engineering intended for reliability, ease of inspection, and long service intervals.

Designed for Fleet Longevity

ATT designs its diesel and service truck range with mid-life servicing and refurbishment in mind. The tank modules, reel assemblies, and pump bay layout are built for straightforward removal and refit, reducing downtime and extending asset life. This modular philosophy allows fleet owners like Powermac Hire to maximise utilisation without the need for complete rebuilds.

The attention to corrosion prevention — through protected chassis interfaces, drainage control, and stainless components — ensures that long after the first shift, the structure stays sound.

From Workshop Floor to Working Fleet

The Powermac Hire DT70 was delivered fully certified and field-ready. From concept design through fabrication, wiring, and commissioning, ATT’s in-house team executed every stage under its Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring traceability and quality control.

The result speaks for itself: a compliant, robust, and efficient refuelling solution that fits seamlessly into Powermac Hire’s operational fleet.
